Briefing Session on CoolThink@JC Network School Application (Cohort 5 and 6)

Time: 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Venue: Zoom

Description:
Seeking to inspire digital creativity among students and nurture their proactive use of technologies for social good from a young age, CoolThink@JC is a computational thinking education programme created and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and co-created by The Education University of Hong Kong, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and City University of Hong Kong. Since 2016, the Programme trained more than 400 teachers from 79 primary schools and benefited over 36,000 primary students. Per a third-party evaluation, CoolThink Students have grown twice as much in their problem-solving skills as non-participating students.
The Briefing Session aims to introduce the support provided by CoolThink@JC, including Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence (AI), curriculum tailored for P4-P6 students, professional development for teachers, co-teaching supports from teaching assistants and subsidy for purchasing digital devices.
