- The EDB has been stepping up the promotion of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) education in primary and secondary schools, popularising innovation and technology (I&T) learning.
- In this school year, the EDB continues to collaborate with The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (The IET Hong Kong), with the involvement of relevant government departments and engineering scholars and experts from tertiary institutions, to organise the “Innovative Engineering Education Programme for Primary and Secondary Schools” (2024/25).
- Through diversified, interesting, and meaningful innovative engineering education activities, students are enabled to develop a better understanding of engineering and innovative technology, as well as the application of engineering in our daily life. The programme also helps broaden students’ understanding of the engineering field and enhance their motivation and interest in STEAM learning.
