Objective:
The course will last for 12 hours, comprising four 3-hour sessions:
Session 1: Designing of STEM Learning and Teaching Activities
Sessions 2 and 3: Workshops of STEM Activities
Session 4: School Sharing and Feedback
The modes of the course will include lectures, workshops and experience sharing sessions. After the completion of sessions 1 – 3, the participants have to prepare a sharing of their learning outcomes, with the focus on enhancing the design of STEM learning, teaching and assessment activities in their schools, and their self-reflection as the role of STEM teachers in schools. A certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants who have completed the course and submitted all the assignments.
[Remark: This is a new course. Teachers having participated in the previous round of ITP from 2017/18 to 2019/20 school year could also apply for this course.]

The Women’s Foundation Girls Go Tech Programme: HACKATHON 2020 AI & Coding Competition
Description:
The Women’s Foundation is delighted to announce a Hackathon 2020 AI & Coding Competition among female students from our Girls Go Tech Programme partner schools.
The Hackathon will provide pre-competition courses on Thunkable block coding, teaching participants how to produce different AI applications, including pronunciation correction, writing, translation, and image recognition. After completing the courses, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to create a brand new application.
Taking place over three weeks, participants will first form teams and join a series of virtual workshops and self-directed learning courses. Guided by corporate volunteers, the teams will then utilise their new skills to ideate, design, and build an AI application that helps solve every day problems.
All Form 3 to Form 6 girls from Girls Go Tech Programme partner schools are welcome to join. Please click here for more details about the competition and enrolment. The application deadline is July 13, 2020.
Girls Go Tech Programme 2020 is now open to secondary schools that serve a proportion of students from deprived backgrounds. For schools that are interested in joining the Programme and becoming one of the GGT partner schools, please find more information here.
