Objective:
The Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatic s 2019/20 (HKOI) is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and the Education Bureau. It aims to promote students’ interest in programming. Details of the competition can be found at HKOI website (http://www.hkoi.org).
Best contestants of the HKOI will be arranged to attend a series of training programmes. Students with outstanding performance in the training programmes may be selected to represent Hong Kong to participate in the International Olympiad in Informati cs 2020 to be held in Singapore.

This series of lectures is co-organised by the Joseph Needham Foundation for Science and Civilisation, the Education Bureau, the Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Science Museum, with the aims to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, and to enable students and the public to learn more about the recent development of some STEM-related topics, including space explorations, climate change and extreme weather, gravitational waves investigation and green economy; as well as to recognise the challenges and opportunities of innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong.
