The Joseph Needham Foundation for Science and Civilisation- Public Lectures on STEM Education

The lectures will be conducted simultaneously in the Lecture Hall of Hong Kong Science Museum in the form of onsite lecture and online live broadcast
 
Description:
This series of lectures is co-organised by the Joseph Needham Foundation for Science and Civilisation, the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences and the Hong Kong Science Museum, with the aims to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, and to enable students and the public to learn more about the recent development of some STEM-related topics, including epidemiological control and clinical management, philosophy of Chinese medicine in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, applications of brain-wave control technology, smart antimicrobial technologies, applications in artificial intelligence and green economy, as well as to recognise the challenges and opportunities of innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong.

The series of “Prelude to the Inaugural Forum” will be kicked off by the Science Exposition which comprises two rounds of public exhibition and of hybrid seminar in September and October this year. You may also be inspired by their unique and invaluable research experiences.

Showcasing local research projects covering both pure sciences and applications and renowned speakers sharing experience in their scientific journey. It is an exciting way to unveil the mystery of the latest and captivating research achievement by our local universities and research institutes!
