Description:
More than 1000 students from primary and secondary schools will battle against AI Chinese Chess system simultaneously to have them inspired by the innovative technology, especially the application of AI in our daily life and to push forward STEM education. A series of pre-event activities will be presented to students from July until the event day, namely AI Knowledge Workshop, Chinese Chess Workshop and Technology Enterprises Visit.

(3) enhance teachers’ understanding in learning, teaching and assessment in programming/coding; and
(4) enhance teachers’ understanding of using the visual programming language tool “Scratch”.

International Conference on Computational Thinking Education 2017 (CTE2017) under CoolThink@JC programme will be held during 13-15 July 2017 (Thur to Sat) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. CTE2017 is the first international conference of the programme comprising keynote speeches by internationally renowned scholars, booth exhibition on STEM/Coding products and solutions, student and teacher poster presentation and demonstration. CTE2017 aims to keep abreast of the latest development of how to facilitate students’ CT abilities and disseminate findings and outcomes on the implementation of CT development in school education.
