Introduction:
The Education Bureau is actively promoting STEAM in primary and secondary schools, and has announced the “Enriched Module on Coding Education for Upper Primary Level”, to help schools implement coding education more systematically. The curriculum units are adopted and adapted from CoolThink@JC programme. The Education University of Hong Kong, through the CoolThink@JC programme, will offer free coding education workshops for principals, providing opportunities for mutual exchange and learning. Details are as follows:
- Reasons for implementing coding education in schools, and its relation to Artificial Intelligence
- Effective implementation of coding education in schools (teacher training, scheduling, learner diversity, etc.)
- Experience sharing by vice principals/teachers from CoolThink@JC
- Follow-up services will be provided (by request basis)
Date: Choose one from September 26, 2024 (Thursday), October 15, 2024 (Tuesday), or October 29, 2024 (Tuesday)
Time: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Target Audience: Primary school principals and one accompanying teacher
Location: The Education University of Hong Kong, Tai Po Campus (participants can apply for shuttle bus service between University MTR Station and The Education University of Hong Kong, or campus parking)
