Objective:
The Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2018/19 (HKOI) is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and the Education Bureau. It aims to promote students’ interest in programming. Details of the competition can be found at HKOI website (http://www.hkoi.org).
A series of training programmes will be arranged for the best contestants of the HKOI. Students with outstanding performance in the training programmes may be selected to represent Hong Kong to participate in the International Olympiad in Informatics 2019 to be held in Azerbaijan, or the National Olympiad in Informatics 2019 to be held in the Mainland.
Schools interested in nominating students to participate in the competition are requested to do so through the said website on or before 22 October 2018 (Monday). Nomination result will be released on 26 October 2018 (Friday) through the said website. School heads, teachers and nominated students should check that information on the website.
