Description:
The Construction Innovation Expo (CIExpo) 2022 will be held on 13 – 17 December 2022 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The CIExpo aims to display emerging and advanced technologies, with the vision of promoting innovations in the construction industry.  It provides students with an authentic learning experience in STEAM education to learn about the application of innovative technologies to improve the quality of living from different perspectives. There are four major theme areas in the expo: Modernisation, Digitalisation, Green Construction and Industrialisation, and more than 170 overseas and local exhibitors will participate in the event.

The CIExpo is jointly organised by the Development Bureau, the Centre of Science and Technology Industrial Development of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Construction Industry Council. It is one of the HKSARG Government’s official events to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong SAR, and one of the events in the “Design for Future Build for Life” Construction Hong Kong promotion campaign which is supported by the Education Bureau.


Registration for event:
The CIExpo have reserved 1 000 places for the students to join the exhibition on 16 or 17 December 2022. Schools interested in nominating Secondary 3 to 6 students for visiting the exhibition can register via the link (https://ciexpo.cic.hk/registration/1/).  Each school may nominate at most 50 students. The deadline of application is 8 December 2022 (Thursday). Details of the exhibition are available at https://ciexpo.cic.hk/ .

Description:
CoolThink@JC Competition 2023 is the 7th as well as the last Competition held. It aims to promote Computational Thinking (“CT”) Education, enhance students’ awareness and interests on CT through coding and problem solving skills, enable students to apply their knowledge and skills on CT to solve problems, enhance creativity, innovation and coding techniques as well as encourage collaboration. The Competition includes Scratch and App Inventor categories, and targets all Primary Four to Primary Six students in the academic year of 2022/2023. CoolThink@JC Competition 2023 is created and funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, co-created by The Education University of Hong Kong, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and City University of Hong Kong, and co-organised by Association of I.T. Leaders in Education and Hong Kong Association for Computer Education. It is supported by the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Education City.
