Description:

This series of lectures is co-organised by the Joseph Needham Foundation for Science and Civilisation (JNFSC), the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences and the Hong Kong Science Museum, with the aims to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education, and to enable students and the public to learn more about the recent development of some STEAM-related topics (including sustainable agricultural technology, computer chips technology, medical ultrasound technology, biomedical engineering, novel electric vehicle technology, psychiatric related technology applications, novel passive cooling technology), as well as to recognise the challenges and opportunities of innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong.

“The Treasure-trove of Privacy – Understanding Your Personal Data Privacy”

To strengthen public awareness of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), the PCPD has published a new Chinese book entitled “The Treasure-trove of Privacy – Understanding Your Personal Data Privacy”. The PCPD will host a book launch and seminar on cyberbullying and doxxing behaviour involving students at the Hong Kong Book Fair on 24 July.


Highlights:
Introduction of new book – “The Treasure-trove of Privacy – Understanding Your Personal Data Privacy”
Discussion on cyberbullying and doxxing behaviour involving students and how to protect their personal data privacy online

The seminar will be held in Cantonese. Participants who ask questions during the talk may receive a copy of PCPD’s new Chinese book entitled “The Treasure-trove of Privacy – Understanding Your Personal Data Privacy” autographed by the Privacy Commissioner.
